Description

The SH270 is a single-cylinder air-cooled horizontal-shaft petrol engine from the Rehlko SH Series (formerly Kohler). With 196 cc displacement it delivers 4.8 kW (6.5 hp) at 3,600 rpm and peak torque of 13.8 Nm at 3,000 rpm. It is certified to CARB Phase III, EPA Phase III, EU Stage V.

The SH Series covers horizontal-shaft single-cylinder engines for general-purpose equipment, designed for quick maintenance. Overhead valves cut fuel use and emissions compared with L-head engines, while a cast-iron liner and Oil Sentry, which stops the engine on low oil, protect it in service.
