Description
The Cursor 16 is FPT Industrial's 15.9-litre in-line six-cylinder engine for high-power machinery. It uses steel pistons, an FPT-developed double re-entrant combustion bowl and a ball-bearing wastegate turbocharger for good dynamic response.
- Ratings from 480 to 633 kW, with up to 3,717 Nm of torque.
- Power-to-weight ratio of about 0.5 hp/kg, according to the manufacturer.
- EGR-free design; SCR or HI-eSCR2 after-treatment depending on version.
- Stage V / Tier 4 Final and Stage IV versions; the top rating uses a twin-stage turbo (TST).
Applications: high-power agricultural and construction machinery. For even higher power, FPT offers the V20.
